Prior to the gift, Toronto had been a pretty difficult team to break down. Kreis thought his players came out slow and Toronto was winning the majority of the 50-50 balls.

That all changed following Movsisyan's fourth goal of the season. With the one-goal cushion, RSL played more relaxed the rest of the match and Kyle Beckerman helped double the advantage in the 44th minute by burying a Javier Morales cross.

Down 2-0, Toronto struggled to get any sort of attack going against RSL's stingy defense, finishing with just seven shots on the night.

Mathis tacked on a third goal in the 78th minute with a wonderful strike from the right edge of the penalty area. Earlier in the match Mathis was credited with the second assist on Beckerman's goal, raising his season total to six and moving him into a second place tie in MLS.

"We've just got to continue to get these points at home cause it's definitely harder on the road, and if we continue to play like this and be really hard to break down and don't give up many chances, I think we'll be in the driver's seat," said Mathis.

RSL returns to action next Friday at home against San Jose. RSL will do so without Beckerman who will join the U.S. National Team next week for the CONCACAF Gold Cup from July 3-26.

Will Johnson joined the Canadian National Team earlier this week, forcing him to miss his first match of the season Saturday night.
