In the pioneers' footsteps at Martin's Cove, Wyo.
MARTIN'S COVE, Wyo. — Tacy Burnham's friends don't understand why the 17-year-old wanted to relive the Mormon Pioneer Trail.
But for Burnham, it's simple: "To you, it might sound crazy, but to me, I think it sounds like an awesome experience," she said.
Burnham joined 144 youths and 42 church leaders from eight wards within the Longmont Colorado Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in a three-day trek through Martin's Cove, Wyo.
