FARR WEST, Weber County — A man who had recently moved from Michigan to Utah for work was killed in an accident Wednesday night.
William Sabisch, 41, was riding his motorcycle back to work from lunch just before 10 p.m. when he was struck by an SUV at 3300 North and state Route 126, according to Weber County Sheriff's Sgt. Brent Butler. The driver of the SUV, Cynthia Barker, told police she had looked both ways and the intersection appeared clear. As the woman turned left, the motorcycle entered her path. The man hit his brakes and laid the bike down, according to Butler. The motorcyclist was separated from the bike, hitting the driver's side front tire and was pronounced dead at the scene. Sabisch was not wearing a helmet. The driver of the SUV was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
Sabisch was living with a brother in Farr West, according to the sheriff's office.
