A woman who police say tried to rob a man with fake gun apparently thought better of it.
A 41-year-old woman pointed a plastic gun at a man sitting in his car at Arctic Circle near 3900 South and 900 East and said "give me the money," according to a court record. The man did not have any money, so she hit him on the head with the gun, causing it to break, the record states. The man chased the woman and took the gun from her.
Police said they found pieces of what appeared to be an Airsoft rifle scattered around the parking lot. Police also found the man's driver's license and credit card on the ground.
Police arrested the woman for investigation of aggravated robbery. According to the court record, she told a police officer "I guess I shoulda' thought this through more" and "I'm just getting what I deserve."
