Bryce Canyon has record low temperature Monday

The Bryce Canyon Airport set a low temperature record Monday night, when the thermometer dipped to 27 degrees.

That "low minimum" temperature broke the old record of 30 degrees set in 1977.

Bryce Canyon had also set a new low temperature record on June 6, when it recorded a 20-degree reading, to eclipse the old record of 27 degrees set in 1951.

Those are the only two National Weather Service temperature records in Utah set during the month of June and both come from the same location.
