Being overweight or underweight can undermine your chances of getting pregnant. Try and get as close to an ideal weight before trying to conceive.

Smoking and drinking can decrease fertility in both men and women.

Exercise can actually increase testosterone levels. Too much, however, can be bad for women if they don't have enough fat cells.

Be careful what medications you take. Some antihistamines can be fertility unfriendly.

Remember, it takes the average couple six to 12 months to conceive. Relaxing may actually help you get pregnant.

Yams and oysters are rumored to be fertility friendly, but watch out and don't eat too much sugar and refined grains.
