SACRAMENTO, Calif. — For the second straight game, the Salt Lake Bees could not hold on to a four-run lead and fell 5-4 to the Sacramento River Cats on Sunday afternoon.

The Bees were up 4-0 going into the bottom of the seventh when Sacramento scored two unearned runs, as an error extended the inning and Tommy Everridge belted a two-run homer to cut the deficit in half.

They would add a run in the eighth and loaded the bases with one out in the ninth. Jeremy Hill (1-3) heaved a wild pitch to bring home the tying run and after an intentional walk to reload the bases, Cliff Pennington sent a fly ball to Terry Evans onto the warning track to bring home the winning run.

The comeback by Sacramento spoiled another great start for Trevor Bell, who did not allow an earned run in seven innings.

Howie Kendrick had four hits and drove in one run to lead the Bees, while Brandon Wood also singled in a run. The loss gives Salt Lake a season-high five-game losing streak and they have now lost eleven consecutive regular season games at Raley Field.

BEES REASSIGN BOSHERS TO OREM, RECALL RODRIGUEZ: The Salt Lake Bees announced today that the club has reassigned left-handed pitcher Jeffrey "Buddy" Boshers to Rookie-League Orem and recalled right-handed pitcher Francisco Rodriguez from Orem.

Boshers, 21, has appeared in two games of relief for the Bees in 2009, striking out one and allowing one hit in 1.1 innings. In five games for the Orem Owlz in 2008, he owned a 5-0 record with a 2.68 ERA and 43 strikeouts. The Huntsville, Ala. native was originally selected by the Angels in the fourth round of the 2008 draft.

Rodriguez, 26, has appeared in 20 games for the Bees in 2009, owning a 3-1 record with a 1.75 ERA and 23 strikeouts. The Mexicali, Mexico native originally signed with the Angels as a free agent in 2005.
