The Utah Department of Workforce Services will honor the winners of the 2009 Utah Work/Life Awards on Tuesday, June 23, at the Sheraton City Centre Hotel.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Workshops begin at 10 a.m. The awards celebration and lunch begin at noon. Best-practice workshop topics include community involvement, child-care resource and referral, green building and emergency preparedness.
The Work/Life Awards honor employers that "listen to employees and strive to create and maintain a culture of equity and opportunity in the workplace." For the second year, a few companies will also receive the Work/Life Legacy status, signaling that they have won the award at least five times and are committed to collaborating with other companies striving to create exceptional workplaces.
