LINDON — A 51-year-old West Jordan woman fell and broke her leg while hiking near Dry Canyon on Friday.

Lindon police received a call about the accident about 11:45 a.m. The woman was with a group attempting to climb a steep part of Dry Canyon just above the Bonneville Shoreline Trail when she slipped and fell, Lindon Police Chief Cody Cullimore said.

The woman was airlifted off the mountain and is being treated for two broken bones in her lower leg at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Cullimore said.
