I extend my sympathies to the Cardall family and praise them for how they have dealt with the loss of their son. For Duane Cardall to compare Brian to Christ on the cross is a bit much. First, Christ was not shrieking profanities and other nonsense. Secondly, Christ was "treated ill by officers," Brian was not. They were doing the job they were trained to do. Brian was putting others at risk.
My brother is a police officer, and he says Tasers are extremely effective and overall lessen the risk of further chaos when used; this was an exception. The fact a young man died is an unfortunate tragedy. However, the harsh reality is we are responsible for our own actions.
