CLEARFIELD, Utah — Numerous H1N1 flu cases in the south Clearfield and
north Layton area shortened services this past Sunday for many members
of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The same cases have also postponed a stake girls camp.Rather
than holding its traditional three-hour service block, the Clearfield
Utah South Stake held one-hour sacrament meetings on Sunday and then
sent everyone home, said Kara Sheen, a member of the Windsor Meadows
2nd Ward, the only Layton ward in the stake.Sheen said the early dismissal involved each ward in the stake.\"They
read a letter (at the meeting) from the stake presidency from the
pulpit,\" she said. The letter basically stated the flu had hit the
community.
