MLS Rankings

1. Houston (8-2-3): Is on a very impressive 10-game unbeaten streak with an 8-0-2 record.

2. D.C. United (5-2-7): Josh Wicks came up huge in win over Chicago last weekend.

3. Columbus (4-2-7): Still haven't lost since early April West Coast swing with a 4-0-4 record.

4. Chivas USA (8-4-3): Own a subpar 1-3-2 record since 1-0 win over RSL back on May 9.

5. Chicago (5-3-6): Have lost three straight and been outscored 6-1 in the process.

6. Colorado (4-2-5): Enjoyed a weekend off, but gets back in the grind this weekend against D.C.

7. Seattle (5-3-5): It wasn't a thing of beauty, but Seattle finally ended six-game winless streak.

8. Kansas City (5-5-4): Snapped three-game skid with impressive 3-1 win over New England.

9. Toronto FC (5-5-4): Perhaps the most inconsistent team in MLS, at least it beat New York.

10. Real Salt Lake (4-6-3): Follows big win at L.A. with an even bigger challenge at Houston.

11. L.A. Galaxy (2-2-9): Didn't play well at all as RSL snapped L.A.'s 10-game unbeaten streak.

12. New England (4-4-4): Up and down season continues as the Revs hover around .500.

13. FC Dallas (2-7-4): Didn't put up much fight at all in 3-1 loss at home against Houston.

14. San Jose (2-8-3): This team just seems to lack what it takes to be competitive on the road.

15. New York (2-10-3): Another week, another loss for the Red Bulls, but at least they scored.

Game of the week

D.C. United at Seattle

Very methodically D.C. United is playing some of the best soccer in MLS. Will they be able to duplicate it on the road in front of Seattle's nearly 30,000 rowdy fans? The Sounders haven't exactly been tearing up the league lately, but they are coming off a win last weekend.
