Table talk
Savor the Summit's Grande Table takes place June 19, 6-10 p.m., in Park City. Tables are set up in the middle of Main Street, and patrons dine al fresco with live music in the background.
Participating restaurants include 350 Main Brasserie, Bistro 412, Jean Louis, The Mustang, Cafe Terigo, Zoom, Bangkok Thai on Main, Butcher's Chop House & Bar, The Bridge Cafe & Grill, Prime Steakhouse & Piano Bar, The Flying Sumo, Yuki Arashi, Easy Street, Wahso, Shabu, Purple Sage, Wasatch Brewpub, Cisero's Ristorante, Royal Street Cafe and Riverhorse on Main (www.parkcityjazzfoundation.vpweb.com).
Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort is hosting the second annual Grill on the Hill BBQ Championship and Brewfest June 19-21. A Kansas City BBQ Society-sanctioned competition features top pit cooks from across the nation vying for their share of $10,000 in cash and prizes. A Backyard Amateurs Contest takes place for novices. There will be food, children's activities, live music and entertainment. Alpine's annual Ice Cream Social offers all the ice cream you can eat for $1, June 20, 6-8 p.m., at Alpine's Legacy Park at the corner of Center and Main. The annual event is hosted Alpine Community Arts Council and Alpine Community Theater to kick off ticket sales for ACT's summer production of "Annie Get Your Gun." Discounted tickets will be available at the social.
Bambara, 202 N. Main, will celebrate Father's Day all week long with free desserts for dads and a special menu from June 21-28.
Chef Nathan Powers is offering a choice of lunch specials from his Powers' Lunch, consisting of a starter, entree and dessert for $13. There's also a 3 for $33 Dinner Special featuring starter, entree and dessert for $33.
