A woman and a teenager from Skull Valley were injured in single-car rollover as they returned home from church services Sunday afternoon.

Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Clint Fawson said the two were driving north on state Route 37 from Dugway at about 2 p.m. when the 17-year-old driver became distracted. She overcorrected, causing the car to veer off the right shoulder. It rolled twice.

The 19-year-old passenger was taken by helicopter to University Hospital with minor injuries to her back and neck, Fawson said. The driver was taken to the Mountain West Hospital in Tooele by ambulance in fair condition.

"When their car rolled like it did, they definitely would have been ejected if they were not wearing seatbelts," Fawson said.
