One of the good things about summer theater is that some of the shows run a little bit longer — giving you more of a chance to fit them into your busy life. Like last week, these new plays are fun for the whole family.

"Beauty and the Beast," Murray Arts in the Park, June 17-25, Murray Park Amphitheater.

The Disney favorite features loved songs like "Be Our Guest" and the title song.

Shows are nightly, except Sunday, 8 p.m., $6-$8, 801-264-2614 or www.murray.gov.

"Broadway Kidz: Holidays," Draper Arts Council, June 19-29, Summit Academy Jr. High, 1225 E. 13400 South, Draper.

This 11th edition of Broadway Kidz will take you through the calendar year. With stops for Christmas, Chinese New Year, Memorial Day to Mother's Day and many more. With a blend of humor and heart-warming celebration, the numbers will move you in pop, rock, disco, country and some classical.

Shows are Friday, Saturday and Monday nights, 7 p.m., with a matinee on June 27, $8 (www.draperartscouncil.org)

"Charley's Aunt," Pinnacle Acting Company, through June 27, Midvale Performing Arts Center, 695 W. Center, Midvale.

Set in 1892, this fun farce is about two friends and school mates who are smitten with two young ladies but can't see them without a suitable chaperone. With letters, loves and mistaken identities, it begs the question — Will the REAL Aunt stand up?

Shows are Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, 7:30 p.m., with a matinee on June 27, $10-$12 (801-674-7956 or www.pinnalceactingcompany.org)

"Guys and Dolls," West Jordan Theatre Arts, June 18-30, Sugar Factory Playhouse, 8201 S. 2200 West, West Jordan.

The Gamblers are back but can they be saved? Sarah Brown and the Mission are out to save souls on the streets of New York City. Throw into the mix a handful of gambling sinners, a show girl who just wants to get married, and some of the most recognizable songs on Broadway, "Luck Be a Lady," "I Love You, A Bushel and a Peck" and "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat," and you have the perfect musical comedy. Starring: Bruce Craven, Britany Dean, Emilee Copier and Keith Buys.

Shows are nightly, except Sunday, 7:30 p.m., with a June 27 matinee, $3-$6 (www.sugarfactoryplayhouse.com)

"The Hanging of El Bandito," through Sept. 5, Pickleville Playhouse Summer Theatre, Bear Lake.
