Clark Swensen didn't know about the fire until he received phone calls from neighbors because he was working in the other end of the valley.
Neighbors and members of the local LDS ward were coordinating help for the family's needs.
"We have meals set up for about a week in advance right now, and some money has been donated, and we have gone shopping for clothes for (the family)," Jackie Cowan said. Other neighbors in the area donned a pair of gloves and helped wherever needed to try to salvage what they could.
"It's amazing to see those that have offered to be of help," Cowan said.
The Swensens have received an offer to live in a house across the street until the fall because the owners of that home are currently living in Idaho.
"It's definitely a blessing that (Tiffany) and her son were with us," said Stones, who raced back from St. George with the Swensens after hearing about the fire. "We just love them to pieces and this is just so devastating."
