MILLCREEK — Police have arrested a Millcreek man for allegedly exposing himself to children through a fence.
Around 8 p.m. Monday, a man was walking completely naked in the neighborhood where he lives near 1800 East and 3300 South, said Salt Lake County Sheriff's Lt. Don Hutson.
The man, 45, then "made a decision to wander into a backyard and (expose himself) through a hole in a fence," he said. On the other side of the fence were four children all under the age of 10 playing on a trampoline.
The man stayed for a while and "talked with the children and said he was their friend," Hutson said. After he left, the children told their parents and the parents called police. A passer-by also called in to report a naked man walking around a nearby cemetery moments later.
Deputies later found the man, who was dressed, and arrested him. Hutson said the man blamed his actions on alcohol.
James Scott Terry, 45, was arrested for investigation of lewdness involving a child.
