FARMINGTON — Linda Nef, the former Bountiful Junior High teacher who has admitted to having sex with a 13-year-old boy, can have one more week to officially enter into a plea agreement, a judge said Tuesday.

Nef, 46, appeared before 2nd District Judge Rodney Page, who granted the delay but said this was the last continuance he would give in the case that has already had several previous delays. "Otherwise, we'll have to set it for trial," the judge said.

Nef's attorney, Sean Druyon, said a plea bargain is almost complete, but a few details still need to be addressed.

Nef is charged with rape of a child and sodomy on a child, both first-degree felonies, in connection with what police said was sexual activity with a then-13-year-old boy who attended the school. Nef in March confessed to police and resigned from the Davis County School District.

Another teacher at the same school, Valynne Bowers, 40, faces charges of rape and forcible sodomy, both first-degree felonies, for allegedly engaging in sexual activity with the same boy when he was 14. Bowers' next court date is June 29.
