BYU paved path to Vanderbilt medical school

Niki Winters believes her undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University paved the path to medical school at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.

"When I came (to Vanderbilt), my education from BYU was amazing," said Winters, who is in Vanderbilt's School of Medicine training to be a medical scientist. "The research and academics prepared me to be here. ... If you want to go to medical school, BYU's as good a place as any (to prepare)."
