PARK CITY — This mining town turned trendy ski resort mecca will celebrate its 125th anniversary on June 13 by throwing a birthday bash on Main Street.

Festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with a walking parade up the street, but Park City guests and residents are encouraged to eat breakfast beforehand at one of many city restaurants.

Free face painting and hat making for children will take place between noon and 4:30 p.m. at the Kimball Art Center Patio, accompanied by live music and a beer garden featuring local brews at Miners Plaza, 415 Main Street.

The afternoon will also include historic story-telling and interviews. The day will close with music by the Park City High School Jazz Band and bluegrass artist Sam Bush, among others.
