Southern Utah's Bo Cuthbertson was named a 2009 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American as recognized by the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. Cuthbertson earned the award after leading the team with a .393 average during the season in 38 games with 31 starts.
Cuthbertson recorded 15 RBI during the year while hitting .356 with runners in scoring position and .636 with a runner on third and two outs. Cuthbertson will take a two-year hiatus from baseball while serving an LDS mission in Uruguay, returning for the 2012 season.
