A Utah teenager says the hardest part of his climb to the top of Mount Everest was coming down.

Johnny Collinson, 17, was exhausted after a 12-hour final push to the planet's highest peak. He says he had to stay focused on his way down to avoid falling.

Collinson, the son of an assistant director of snow safety at Snowbird resort, scaled Everest May 19. It cost him $40,000.

Collinson returned to Utah on Wednesday.

On the same day he summited Everest, Collinson says 52 other climbers and 55 Nepalese Sherpa guides made it to the top.

Collinson climbed South America's highest peak, Mount Aconcagua, in January, and is leaving June 14 to climb Mount McKinley, North America's highest peak. He plans to eventually climb the highest points of all seven continents.
