Prep quarterback Lloyd commits to Stanford

Pleasant Grove High quarterback Dallas Lloyd, offered scholarships by Utah, Utah State and BYU, has reportedly verbally committed to play at Stanford.

Stanford's recruiting Web site on Scout.com "The Bootleg" reports that Lloyd traveled to Palo Alto over the weekend and told Cardinal coach Jim Harbaugh that he plans to sign with Stanford. Lloyd, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound senior for the Vikings, plans to serve an LDS Church mission after graduating from high school and then enroll at Stanford in 2012.

Last year, as a junior, Lloyd threw for 1,689 yards, 15 TDs and he rushed for another five TDs.
