Surging Dynamo down Toronto FC

HOUSTON — Brad Davis, Kei Kamara and Stuart Holden scored in a 5-minute span in the first half to lead the surging Houston Dynamo to a 3-0 victory over Toronto FC on Saturday night.

Houston (5-2-3) improved to 5-0-2 in its last seven games, while Toronto (4-4-4) lost for the second time in three matches.

Davis gave Houston a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute, sending a direct kick from just outside the upper right box under the Toronto wall and into the center of the net, freezing goalkeeper Stefan Frei.

Two minutes later, Kamara made it 2-0 after receiving a pass from Brian Ching in the center box and sending it just inside the left post. Stuart Holden extended the lead two minutes later.

CREW 1, SOUNDERS 1: At Seattle, Alejandro Moreno's header past Seattle goalkeeper Kasey Keller gave Columbus an early lead, but Sounders FC forward Nate Jaqua answered in the 58th minute as the Crew and Sounders played to a 1-1 draw.

GALAXY 1, WIZARDS 1: At Carson, Calif., Edson Buddle scored in the 87th minute to give the Los Angeles Galaxy a 1-1 tie with the Wizards. The draw enabled Los Angeles (1-1-9) to extend its unbeaten streak to 10 games with its team-record fifth consecutive tie. Davy Arnaud scored for Kansas City (4-4-4).

REVOLUTION 2, UNITED 1: At Foxborough, Mass., Steve Ralston's penalty kick in the 90th minute snapped a tie and gave the Revolution a victory over D.C. United that ended a six-match winless streak. Taylor Twellman earned the penalty kick for the Revolution as he was fouled by United defender Bryan Namoff.

RAPIDS 3, RED BULLS 2: At East Rutherford, N.J., Conor Casey scored two goals on headers to take over the league's goal scoring lead, and Mehdi Ballouchy added one on a penalty kick to lift the Rapids over the struggling Red Bulls.
