Salt Lake's Wingpointe Golf Course is among four Utah golf courses ranked among the top 50 municipal golf courses in the nation by Golfweek magazine.

Midway's Soldier Hollow is ranked No. 11, Monticello's Hideout is ranked No. 22, St. George's Sunbrook is ranked No. 25 and Wingpointe is ranked No. 37. Utah joins California and Arizona as the only states with four or more courses on the list.

"It is a tremendous honor for Salt Lake City's golf program to have Wingpointe mentioned in the same breath as Bethpage Black, Chambers Bay, Torrey Pines and a number of other public golf courses that have hosted PGA Tour events," Salt Lake City Golf Enterprise fund manager Dave Terry said. "We are committed to providing playing conditions and service levels worthy of Golfweek's continued recognition."

Wingpointe, designed by world renowned golf architect Arthur Hills, opened in 1991 and is located on the Salt Lake International Airport property.
