"Acting Up!" June 6, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Room B1, SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 S. State, Orem
SCERA's award-winning advanced musical theater and performance team is open to boys and girls from grades 10-12.
Those auditioning should be prepared to sing 16 bars of two contrasting-style songs; an accompanist will be provided, please bring sheet music.
Actors should also come ready to perform a monologue under one-minute in length. There will be a two-part dance audition — group work and partner work. Please come dressed to move.
Auditioners should plan on staying the whole day and bring a lunch and snacks. Some will be excused early.
Those auditioning need to register at the main office of the SCERA Center prior to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 5. There is no fee to audition; the office is open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
"Acting Up" members meet on Saturday mornings throughout the school year for training and rehearsal. They do many performances, workshops and competitions throughout the year.

"Evita," June 6, 9 a.m.-noon, Rodgers Memorial Theatre, 292 E. Pages Lane, Centerville.
Please prepare 32 bars of a musical number showing your vocal strength, an accompanist will be provided. No pre-recorded music and no a capella singing. Up-tempo and modern Broadway style songs are encouraged. Please dress for movement. A headshot and resume are helpful.
Show dates are Oct. 2-30, directed by Alane Schofield.
"Is He Dead?" June 5, noon-4 p.m., Pioneer Theatre Company, 300 S. 1400 East, Room 245.
Noon-1 p.m. is reserved for AEA (Equity) members only, but AEA members may sign up for any time slot. Actors will be required to read from the script. Sides will be available and may be checked out on an overnight basis from the theater offices located in Room 325 at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre as early as Friday, May 29. Scripts will be available for checkout after May 6.
The sign-up sheet will be posted by noon on Friday, May 29. AEA (Equity) members may call ahead to sign up for a time slot. Equity members may call Elizabeth Williamson at 801-585-5855 to schedule an audition time. All roles are open for actors ages 18 and older.
