HIGHLAND — A Highland woman was treated for minor injuries after crashing through a brick wall by her home Thursday morning.
Lone Peak Police Sgt. Jacob Moosman said the woman was traveling in a sport utility vehicle with her 2-year-old daughter near the intersection of 6000 West and 10050 North when she lost control and drove the vehicle through a brick wall.
After going completely through the wall, the SUV rammed into the outside wall of the home in which she lives.
The initial crash slowed the car enough to keep it from going through the wall of the house, Moosman said.
The woman was treated by paramedics at the scene and released, Moosman said. He wasn't sure if she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. He said the woman's daughter, who was strapped into a child restraining device, wasn't injured.
