With audition announcements in the paper every Sunday, maybe you and your child have thought about getting involved in community theater but don't know where to begin.
Maybe your little one dreams of discovering his inner star. Or maybe he or she is such a ham, you just need to channel it.
Consider one of the many summer theater camps.
With an impressive list of offerings from Logan to St. George, the summer theater camps offer everything from singing, dancing, puppetry, stage combat, Shakespeare, audition preparation, costume design, set building, playwriting and more.
Some theaters have all-day classes, others offer courses for a few hours a couple of times a week. Either way, your child will get a taste of what it's like to stand in the spotlight.
The theaters listed all have complete descriptions of their summer courses on their Web sites, including, dates, times, cost and registration forms.
