Travelers heading north on I-15 between 500 North and I-215 can expect heavier traffic as the freeway is cut down to one lane Wednesday and Thursday nights.
The Utah Department of Transportation will close other lanes from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. as construction continues on an ExpressLinks project to add express lanes to the freeway.
Northbound I-15 on-ramps, including ones at 400 South, 600 North and 2300 North, will close from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday. The I-15 northbound on-ramps at 2300 North and U.S. 89 will close Thursday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday.
Southbound I-15 traffic will also be restricted to one lane from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. June 3-4. UDOT recommends that drivers take alternate routes, including Legacy Parkway, I-215 and I-80.
