OREM — Police have arrested an Orem man on suspicion of having sex with his 16-year-old baby sitter.
On May 19, the girl went to the home of a 28-year-old man to get a computer disk, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed Tuesday in 4th District Court.
When the girl arrived at the man's house, they kissed, and the girl asked to go into the bedroom, where they had sex, according to the affidavit.
Police said the girl's mother became suspicious of her daughter, who had left her home on her bicycle and returned several hours later. Her mother checked the girl's cell phone and found several text messages to a man for whom the girl used to baby sit, according to the affidavit.
On Friday, police arrested Jason T. Clint, 28, for investigation of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Clint was booked into Utah County Jail and then released on $10,000 bail. His initial hearing is scheduled for June 2.
