A blown tire led to the death of a man traveling on I-15 in Juab County late Sunday morning, the Utah Highway Patrol reported.

UHP Sgt. Jeff Tingey said the man, who has not been identified, was driving southbound near Mona about 10:45 a.m. Sunday when he lost control of his pickup truck after a front tire blew out.

Tingey said the man was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled into the center median.

Ambulance personnel were treating the man as he was being transported to Central Valley Medical Center in Nephi, but he died before arrival.

Tingey said the man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
