CBS tops weekly ratings again
Fox attracts biggest share of viewers in 18-49 demographic
NEW YORK — CBS kept up its winning ways, remaining the most-watched network for the 11th straight week.
And Fox again could lay claim last week to the top duo of shows: the Wednesday and Tuesday editions of "American Idol."
The third-ranking show: ABC's Monday airing of "Dancing with the Stars."
And fourth was ABC's season finale of "Grey's Anatomy," which edged out CBS rivals in its Thursday time slot: the season finales of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (ranking seventh) and "CSI: NY" (in 15th place).
"Farrah's Story," documenting Farrah Fawcett's battle against cancer, drew 9 million viewers. But many viewers opted for CBS' escapist crime dramas: "Flashpoint" attracted 8.5 million viewers, and, airing against the documentary's second hour, "Numb3rs" won with 9.7 million viewers.
For the week, CBS averaged 11.2 million prime-time viewers (6.9 household rating, 12 share), according to Nielsen Media Research. ABC had 9.4 million (6.0 rating, 10 share), Fox 9.0 million (5.3 rating, 9 share), NBC 6.4 million (4.2 rating, 7 share), the CW 2.1 million (1.4 rating, 2 share), My Network TV 1.3 million (0.8 rating, 1 share) and ION Television 570,000 (0.4 rating, 1 share).
