All-star softball game

The Utah High School Softball Coaches Association will hold its annual senior all-star game today at the Valley Complex. The game features the best seniors in the state as 4A takes on 5A and 2A plays 3A. Each team is coached by the coach of the year, an honor voted on by the other coaches in the association.

The games are played at the Valley Complex at 3 p.m. Friday, May 22.

The 5A senior all-stars are: Angela Devries, Fremont; Vanessa Bodily, Fremont; Ashley Russell, Fremont; Shelbi Tyteca, Viewmont; Becky Simonsen, Davis; Tina Ferguson, Spanish Fork; Katelyn Elliott, Spanish Fork; Kylee Brinkerhoff, Spanish Fork; Ashley Zimmerman, Lehi; Camille Brimhall, Syracuse; Kelsi Hoopiiaina, Riverton; Sandy Bowles, Riverton; Linnea Ketcher, Copper Hills; Nicole Huntsman, Taylorsville; Saphina Butler, Hunter; Cienna Smith, Bingham; Summer Comstock, Alta; Ahley Holmstead, American Fork. The 5A coach of the year is Kelly Anderson of Syracuse High.

The 4A senior all-stars are: Chelsey Diamnond, Payson; Rikki Christensen, Payson; Mariah Jensen, Springville; Gabi Petro, Springville; Alisha Talk, Timpview; Makenzie Jones, Sky View; Kelsey Naylor, Sky View; Kim Brooks, Dixie; Delaney Griffith, Dixie; Mallory Hyland, Murray; Lyndi Miller, Murray; Josie Thamert, Olympus; Brandi Lovato, Cyprus; Sanshae Rasmussen, Cyprus; Jackie Cooley, Murray; Mixsa Kafi, Highland; Julie Santiago, Provo. The 4A coach of the year is Cydnee Bennett, Olympus High.

The 3A senior all-stars are: Nichole Gordon, North Sanpete; Jen Taylor, Union; Kallie Bowcutt, Bear River; Kylee Fronk, Bear River; Corinni Coats, Grantsville; Krista Taylor, Grantsville; Alyssa Johnson, Uintah; Brittney Gustas, Carbon; Janessa Curtis, Uintah; Megan Clyde, Hurricane; Kelly Kastanes, Cedar; Keera Allred, Emery; Kayla Webb, Bear River; Kevi Reed, Morgan; Jayli Zagelman, Canyon View; Kari Reed, Morgan. The 3A coach of the year is Grantsville's Heidi Heath.
