Maryland: Backbone Mountain 3,400 (Backbone at 3,360).

Massachusetts: Mount Greylock 3,505 (Greylock at 3,487).

Michigan: Porcupine Mountain. 2,023 (Mount Arvon at 1.979).

Minnesota: Misquah Hills, 2,230 (Eagle Mountain at 2,301).

Mississippi: near Holly Springs, 602 (Woodall Mountain, 806).

Missouri: Tom Sank Mountain, 1,800 (Taum Sauk at 1,172).

Montana: Granite Peak 12,834 (Granite at 12,799).

Nebraska: Plains in SW corner, 5,300 (Pamorama Point, 5,424).
