HILL AIR FORCE BASE — Hill Air Force Base personnel, with emergency services and response teams from Davis and Weber counties, are scheduled to have a combined exercise Wednesday morning.
Residents near Hill Air Force Base in Layton, Clearfield and Riverdale may notice smoke, explosions or unusual activities associated with the exercise near the Friendly Park area, the Target store in Layton, Job Corps Training Center in Clearfield and on base.
"This exercise is primarily designed to test the ability of our emergency-response personnel and processes," said Col. Patrick Higby, commander of the 75th Air Base Wing. "In particular, we will also look closely at how we are able to interface with emergency responders from the surrounding communities."
