BOSTON (AP) — A Massachusetts bus company says a driver could be fired because a video shot by a passenger shows him tearing paper tickets and using his cell phone while behind the wheel.
Officials with Peter Pan Bus Lines Inc. tell The Boston Globe the driver appears to be breaking at least two company rules — using his phone and taking his hands off the steering wheel.
The Springfield-based company says the driver faces unpaid suspension and possible firing. The company did not reveal the driver's name.
The video was shot in April by passenger Shelomo Alfassa, a Brooklyn man who takes a bus between New York and Boston almost every week to visit his girlfriend.
He posted the video online and sent the link to the company on Monday.
