The public is invited to give the U.S. Department of Transportation feedback about road and public transportation planning along in Salt Lake, Davis and Weber counties at an open house on May 26 from 4-7 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Library Conference Room C.

Every four years, federal law requires two offices within the U.S. DOT, the Federal Highway Administration and the Federal Transit Administration, to certify that the transportation process meets various federal requirements.

Issues that the public may want to discuss include the environment, air quality, safety, freight, civil rights, technology, financial constraints, accountability and economic development.

If you have any questions regarding the meeting or will be unable to attend but still want to comment, contact Steven Call at 801-963-0078, extension 233, or at Steven.CALL@dot.gov.
