DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan — Pakistani officials say a suspected U.S. missile attack has killed at least four people in a stronghold of the Taliban and al-Qaida near the Afghan border.
Three intelligence officials told the Associated Press that several missiles hit a religious school and a vehicle on Saturday near Mir Ali, a town in the North Waziristan region. The officials said agents in the area reported that militants had recovered four bodies from the scene and were searching in the rubble for more. The identities of the victims were not immediately known.
