SDSU's Strasburg one of the best ever

The only collegiate player to represent the United States in the Beijing Olympics is determined to keep things in perspective. After throwing the no-hitter against Air Force, Strasburg told mlb.com that it was great to have so many scouts watching him. However, it's not what motivates him.
"I'm not pitching for them," Strasburg said. "I'm pitching for this program right now. I'm hoping to help this team get to a regional and win a conference tournament."
The draft, he continued, will take care of itself. His current focus is helping San Diego State succeed.
"Each inning is extremely important for this program. We need to win as many games as possible," Strasburg said in the mlb.com report. "Bottom line, you have to ask if you're playing the game for the right reasons. I'm playing the game because this is the game that I love, and I'm playing it for the guys behind me."
