Shurtleff's flip-flop

More and more states are dismantling traditional marriage. Fortunately, Utah's Constitution prevents that from happening here, no thanks to Attorney General Mark Shurtleff. He did everything in his power to oppose Amendment 3, which defined marriage in Utah as being between a man and a woman.

But that was yesterday. Today, Mr. Shurtleff loudly voices his support for traditional marriage. But back when he had the opportunity to make a real difference, he stood against the voters and with the radical gay activists. His sudden conversion couldn't have anything to do with his ambition to become a United States senator, now, could it?

It would be nice to believe that his instant change of heart is genuine, but I doubt that the man believes in anything beyond what is politically convenient.
