FILLMORE — Three people have been arrested in connection with a burglary at the Utah Territorial Statehouse.
A Millard County sheriff's deputy was called to the historic building after midnight Friday about people seen cutting power to the lights surrounding the statehouse. Deputies and a K-9 unit responded.
"While searching the immediate area, it was determined somebody may be in 'The Pod,' a building near the statehouse," Millard County Sheriff Robert Dekker said in a statement. "Deputies were able to locate a key to the building and a statehouse official permitted entry into the building by deputies."
Inside, police found two men and a teenage girl. They were all booked into jail for investigation of burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Police said the three may be tied to other burglaries in the area.
