High school golf: In 2nd year, girls golf making big strides

The top teams in 3A are Park City, Ogden, Desert Hills, Juan Diego and Delta. Sami Crouch leads Park City, while Courtney Smith is Ogden's top player, and Jasmine Candland comes in as the top threat from Desert Hills.
The top players in the 1A
2A battle should be Cortney Duran, Grand County; Desirae Stroh, Grand County; and Sydnee Gomez from Intermountain Christian. Grand County, St. Joseph, Richfield, Intermountain Christian and Valley are the teams to beat.
TOP AD: Spanish Fork High athletic director Doug Snell, who has nearly 22 years on the job, was recently named the Southwest District Athletic Director of the Year. The National Association for Sport and Physical Education honored Snell in March during a National Convention in Florida.
MORE SIGNINGS: Former Lehi High basketball star Ben Walker, after a year at Air Force and another year at Salt Lake Community College, will finish the final two years of his college career playing at Westminster College.
Spanish Fork High outfielder Braden Warren has signed to play baseball next season for Southern Utah University.
