OGDEN — The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Northern Utah is seeking volunteers to assist in the care of more than 700 injured and orphaned birds the facility receives each year.
The WRC was organized on March 8 due to an economic decision by the Ogden Nature Center's board of directors to shut down the rehabilitation facility as of June 30. It is currently located at Ogden Nature Center, 966 W. 12th St., but is seeking a permanent facility.
Adult and youth volunteers (ages 12-18) are welcome to help with a variety of duties, including telephone answering, cleaning, fundraising and handling and feeding injured birds. To volunteer call DaLyn Erickson at 801-814-7888 or e-mail volunteer@wrcnu.org.
