SOUTH SALT LAKE — A 3-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Thursday after falling two stories from an apartment window.
Authorities were contacted right after the boy fell at about 11:30 a.m., but it is unknown whether the young boy jumped or accidentally fell through the window, South Salt Lake Fire Chief Steve Foote said.
The boy's father was with him outside the apartment, near 400 East and 2200 South, when authorities arrived, according to Foote.
The boy suffered head injuries and other internal injuries and was taken to Primary Children's Medical Center to be treated.
"It doesn't appear to be life-threatening, and they believe he is going to survive," Foote said.
