BASKETBALL: Utah State head men's basketball coach Stew Morrill will once again be conducting two Aggie Basketball Camps this summer.

The first camp will be a Boys Day Camp from June 8-11, and provides an opportunity for the young player to learn basic fundamentals and enjoy the excitement of competition. Ball-handling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and defensive techniques will be taught. Campers will also participate in activities such as free throw and hot shot competitions, as well as one-on-one and team competitions. The Boys Day Camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon daily.

The second camp will be a Position Camp and will run from June 16-18, helping players who want to improve their individual playing position. Post players will work on their shooting, footwork, post moves and rebounding,

while perimeter players will work on shooting, footwork, ball-handling and passing. Other camp activities include free throw contests, lectures, and three-on-three, one-on-one and team championships. Anyone who signs up for the Position Camp has the option of staying on campus or commuting.

SLCC

BASEBALL: The Regional 18 Tournament started Wednesday in Carson City, Nev. with Salt Lake came up a bit short against the Eastern Utah Golden Eagles 4-3 despite a solid pitching performance from freshman Jeremy

Atkinson.

Atkinson went 4.1 innings, striking out five and not allowing a run to score. Offensively the Bruins were lead by JR Roland. Roland finished 2 for 4 with a home run, his ninth of the season.

Picking up the loss against the Golden Eagles forced Salt Lake to play a second game today against Colorado Northwestern in this double-elimination tournament. SLCC went on to defeat the Spartans by a score of 6-4, behind the bats of Brandon Keller and Roland and the pitching of Nelson Castleberry.

Castleberry pitched a solid game going eight innings, and having a season-high 12 strikeouts. He didn't allow a run while on the mound. Keller went 3 for 4 and Roland went 1 for 2.

Salt Lake takes to the field Thursday again at 4 p.m.
