Tips for living: Taking care of your scriptures

You've just bought a new set of scriptures, and you hope they'll serve you for years. How do you care for them to make sure they'll last?

Joan Nay, an associate in the rare books department of Sam Weller's Zion Bookstore in Salt Lake City, offers some suggestions.

Her first rule: "Don't put them in your scripture bag wrong." She says it's important to carry them with the spine down so that you don't put undue pressure on the outside edges and pages.
