A 5-year-old boy was killed in a back-over accident at Utah State University's dorms.
USU police said it happened Monday at the West Stadium Villa, a dormitory for married students and their families. Police said the 23-year-old driver of a Dodge Neon was backing up when she struck Matthew Cole Larson, trapping him underneath her car.
"The driver then pulled forward, freeing the child," USU police said in a statement Wednesday. "The child was attended to by emergency medical workers before being transported to Logan Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel."
The accident remains under investigation, police said.
