SOFTBALL: Head coach Todd Fairbourne announced Monday that three more players signed National Letters of Intent to play softball for the Wolverines beginning next season. Charlee Cisneros, Kyli Flanary, and Megan Zimmerman will all join the program this coming fall.

Cisneros (5-1 Outfielder, Elk Grove, Calif./Elk Grove H.S.) is a lefty outfielder that can also catch in a pinch. She's a four-year starter at Elk Grove High and already has two First Team All-League selections to her credit. Cisneros is currently hitting .270 as a senior.

Flanary (5-11 Pitcher/DP, Bountiful/Bountiful H.S./Snow College) comes to UVU from Snow College where she earned Second Team All-SWAC honors as a freshman. She is currently hitting over .400 and among the top-10 of the Scenic West Athletic Conference.

Zimmerman (5-6 Catcher/Shortstop, Lehi/Lehi H.S./College of Southern Idaho) is concluding a standout two-years at the College of Southern Idaho where she was named First Team All-SWAC as a freshman while leading the Golden Eagles to the NJCAA National Tourney. She is currently in the top-ten of the league in nearly every offensive category. She is hitting .438 with 23 homeruns and 26 stolen bases.

SOUTHERN UTAH

MEN'S GOLF: Nate Page has earned an at-large bid into the 2009 NCAA Division I Golf Championships. The senior from Orem (Mountain View HS), was one of 45-at-large selections into this year's tournament. He is Southern Utah's second NCAA post-season qualifier in golf. Kenny Ebalo was the first, in 2004. Page finished the season with a team-leading 72.7 stroke average, the second-best average in the history of the school as well as the second-best in The Summit League this year.

Page will compete at Karsten Creek Country Club in Stillwater, Okla., beginning May 13. To advance to the national championship round he will have to play very well however, as just the top unattached player in each of the six regionals will advance to the finals.

SOFTBALL: The Thunderbirds lost 14-5 to the Oklahoma Sooners on Monday night in Norman, Okla. The loss drops the T-Birds to 22-19 overall this season while OU moves to 35-14 with the victory.

Oklahoma scored at least one run over the course of the first five innings to build a steady, early lead. The streak included a run in the bottom of the first inning as OU capitalized on a lead-off single.
