Sophomore Lance Nielsen took a faceoff and turned it into an unassisted goal with 8:25 to play to tie the game at 11. Condas then found the net for the sixth time of the afternoon for the game winner. The game went back and forth all day, with neither team holding an advantage of more than two goals.

Weston Morley added two goals for the Griffins and Dan Larkin scored a goal and had an assist. McLellan recorded 10 saves along with several forced turnovers in the Westminster net.

Westminster will face the winner of the Northern Colorado-Montana State match today. The championship game will begin at 1 p.m.

BASEBALL: The Salt Lake Community College baseball team defeated Southern Nevada in the first game of a doubleheader Friday by a score of 9-0 behind a strong pitching performance by freshman Derek Christensen, who threw a complete game. Offensively, the Bruins were lead by sophomore Felix Segovia, who went 2-for-4 with four RBIs.

The Bruins kept it going in the second game, winning 11-4. Sophomore Zane Gray had a solid game on the mound, going seven strong innings and striking out six.

Freshman JR Roland led the Bruin offense, going 2-for-5 with four RBIs.

The Bruins will finish the series today with a doubleheader starting at noon.

SOFTBALL: In two extra-inning games against the North Idaho Cardinals, the No. Salt Lake Community College Bruins won the first game 7-4 in nine innings and lost the second 6-5 in 10 innings at Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. The Bruins are now 43-6 overall and 40-4 in conference play.

In game one, Salt Lake had a two-run lead in the seventh inning but could not hold the lead, allowing two runs to cross the plate and tie the game at 4-4. In the ninth inning, Amy Broadbent drove in two runs to give Salt Lake

the 7-4 win. Lisa Riches hit her 20th home run of the season to finish the game a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBIs. Sarah Clark got her 20th win of the season, allowing four runs while striking out seven batters.

North Idaho jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the second game, but Salt Lake answered with a solo home run by Jordyn McDonald and a two-run homer by Hayley Atiyeh. North Idaho again took a 5-3 lead into the seventh

inning when Stacie Graham knocked in the tying runs to take the game into extra innings. After three scoreless inning,s North Idaho managed to push a run across to win the game 6-5.

No. 5 Salt Lake (43-6, 40-4 SWAC) and North Idaho (35-20, 29-15 SWAC) face off again today in another doubleheader starting at noon in Coeur D'Alene. Salt Lake has clinched the SWAC and a first-round bye in the Region 18 Tournament starting May 7 at Bruin Field.
