El Farol Mexican restaurant in Midvale is joining with the Hispano
Latino Rotary Club of Salt Lake City to host the first Cinco de Mayo
Breakfast Fundraiser.
The event will be Saturday, May 2, from 7 to 11 a.m. at El Farol, 115 W. 7200 South.
El Farol is owned by Dolores Medina — a member of the Torres family, Latter-day Saints who have operated several Mexican restaurants in the Salt Lake Valley.
Funds from the breakfast will benefit such Hispano Latino Rotary
projects as buying books for elementary school children, providing
dictionaries for third-graders, a Christmas toy drive, and middle and
high school mentor programs.
For more information, call Medina at 801-244-6236 or Cesar Diaz at 801-548-1473.
